The Sedalia Center hosts our start/finish area. Immediately adjacent to the George Washington National Forest with the Blue Ridge Mountains as a backdrop, the Sedalia Center provides an amazing environment to hang out and cheer runners across the finish line.

Included with each runner’s entry fee is the “Terrapin Mug” and a post race meal. Additional meals for non-entrants can be purchased upon race registration for $10. Each finisher will also receive a finisher shirt. (REGISTER BY FEBRUARY 11TH TO GUARANTEE CORRECT SHIRT SIZE!) Top finisher awards will be given to the top three male and female in each distance, as well as top male and female juniors (under 21), masters (40-49), grand masters (50-59), and super masters (60 and over).

Runners can pick up their race packet and bib number from 5:00 - 9:00 PM on Friday evening and from 5:30 - 6:30 Saturday morning at the Sedalia Center.

On Friday evening, there will be a pasta dinner (pasta with marinara, grilled chicken, house salad, and cookies) that will be offered at the Sedalia Center from 6-8 PM. This meal is optional and can be added-on during registration for $10.

ALL runners MUST check in on Saturday morning between 5:30 - 6:30, even if you picked up your packet the prior evening. This is simply an extra safety measure to make sure our personnel are not looking for anyone who decided last minute to not toe the line.

Pre-race briefing will happen both via email prior to race weekend and at 6:45 AM just prior to the race start. If you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to email the RD (Brian) at windingwayrunco@gmail.com with “Terrapin Mountain Question” in the subject line.

At the Sedalia Center, there is an open field and parking area to camp. If you would like to camp the night at the center, it will cost only $15 per person.

All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable, whether to another individual or another race year. (The only exception is our Pregnancy & Postpartum Policy.) Switching from the 50k to the half-marathon is allowed up until 3/1. No partial refunds for the difference will be given.

We are adopting Trail Sisters Approved Standards when it comes to putting a Pregnancy & Postpartum Policy in place. Whether planned or unplanned, an expected or unexpected start or end to a pregnancy, healing and recovery time are required for a woman’s overall health. For this reason, in these instances, we will offer the choice of up to a two year deferral or a refund of registration fees.

This event is held in accordance with a permit from the US Forest Service, George Washington National Forest, Pedlar District. Please respect and care for the land that this event is held on to help ensure the future of this event.
